The Indian Meteorological Department has sounded a high-level red warning across five northern states as the monsoon intensifies rapidly. Over the past 48 hours, regions including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab have seen a dramatic spike in rainfall activity.
